Chanell Heart, also known as Mary Joe Wilson, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1993. During high school she took computer classes to hone her typing and computer skills. She began working as a retail manager for about a year and a half and did an internship at a preschool.
She began her career as a retail manager and interned at a preschool before moving to Los Angeles in 2013 to enter the porn industry. She contacted African-American actress Misty Stone to learn more about the industry and became her mentor. Heart filmed her first scene at the age of 20 for the Reality Kings website. She has worked for various production companies, including Naughty America, Jules Jordan Video, Wicked Pictures, Hustler Video, Elegant Angel, Girlfriends Films, New Sensations, Evil Angel, Kink.com, Zero Tolerance, Girlsway, Sweetheart Video, Tushy, and Digital Playground.
