Melody Mynx: I’m originally from a small town in Texas. I’ve always been very artistic and creative. I went to college for Visual Arts. I moved to Austin and I’ve always been in the live music scene so that was a great place for me. That played itself out so I moved to the East Coast about 10 years ago. I live in Philadelphia. I teach yoga and that’s what brought me to the East Coast…a curiosity about a new place.

Before porn

Melody: Yes, I would say so. I think so. It didn’t seem like I was a nympho or anything, I just enjoyed sex.

Melody: I’ve done pretty much anything under the sun that doesn’t pay well. (laughs) I was a bartended for 20 years. I was a nanny, I teach yoga. I’ve done so many different things.

Sex life

Melody: It’s the typical, ‘I experimented in college’ but I’ve always admired other women and thought they were so beautiful but I didn’t really experience much until I got into the industry.

Entering porn industry

Melody: Like I said, I thought I’d give it a try. I found out I enjoy acting and all of the different parts of being in the adult industry. You meet some really cool people and you make cool things.

How she came up with her stage name?

Melody: I just randomly thought of it. I thought of Melody because I’m really into music. And then I wanted something that had the same letter for the first and last name. And I wanted to switch up Minx a little bit.

Melody: The performing. I really like being on camera.

Melody: I think the most memorable experience is, and I have to be vague so I don’t out someone, but I met someone in Vegas and I know what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. I met someone and we had a great connection. He was from a different country and we ended up making out at the bar and we got a room. (laughs)

hobbies

Melody: I’m always traveling. I love going to new cities. I love seeing live music. I love yoga and going to the beach. I believe in staying active.

Favorite music

Melody: I like rock & roll, 70s glam, the live music stuff I like includes instruments. (laughs)

favorite movies?

Melody: I don’t watch a lot of movies.

Favorite TV shows?

Melody: All-time favorite is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’m a podcast girl. I like the true crime podcasts.

favorite food?

Melody: I do like to eat. I love Thai food, Mexican food, Italian food…I am a vegetarian though!
