ran asakawa
Ran Asakawa, also known as Ran Asaka, is a prolific pornographic actress and glamour model. Born in Japan on September 4, 1980, she began her career in 2001 after graduating from high school and entering college. After struggling with part-time jobs, she turned to the pornographic film industry, which she applied for herself. She initially struggled with her "mature" appearance, but eventually enjoyed sex on camera.
Asakawa was not very popular due to her "mature" appearance at a time when young-looking girls were performing in pornography. In 2003, she requested to be registered in the Guinness Book of Records for performing 212 pornographic films in 2002 alone. She broke her own record with 304 videos in 2003 but announced her departure at the end of the year. The total number of videos she appears in is around 800, including re-releases and compilations.
In late 2003, the Taipei Times newspaper reported that Asakawa came to Taiwan with the hope of furthering her career there. She left the Japanese pornographic film industry after starring in several "uncensored" videos, some produced in Taiwan. Asakawa is popular in Chinese-speaking countries, where she is known as Wu Tenglan (武藤兰). In 2006, rumors circulated that she died from cancer or kidney failure in China. However, her impresario published a denial on her official website, stating that she is still alive and well.
